Position Overview
The Product Data Specialist is the final authority on all product data. No product goes live, and no order is processed, without complete, correct, and fully optimized data. This role requires an unwavering commitment to detail, scrutiny of all new product data, and a zero-tolerance approach to errors.
Core Responsibilities:
? 100% review of all orders daily No exceptions.
? Authority to challenge, reject, and correct all product submissions that are incomplete or inaccurate.
? Absolute control over PCM questions, attributes, certifications, and marketing data.
? Full system mastery across ERP (VAI S2K), B2B Ecommerce (Adobe Commerce), B2C Ecommerce (Shopify Plus), and third-party marketplaces.
? Memorization of all 7,000 SKUs, enabling immediate identification of discrepancies.
? Continuous auditing and enforcement of strict data standards across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities
1. Authority Over New Product Data & PCM Scrutiny
- Strict review and rejection of incomplete product submissions from vendors and buyers.
- PCM question validation: Every response must be detailed, precise, and verifiable.
- Ensure proper categorization, weight accuracy, and cross-referenced certifications.
- Demand corrections before approvalnothing enters the system unless perfect.
2. 100% Order Review Compliance
- Every order is reviewed for SKU alignment, pricing accuracy, and category correctness.
- All discrepancies are documented and corrected within 24-48 hours.
- Cross-system verification of product data in ERP, ecommerce platforms, and WMS.
3. Full Data Entry Oversight & System Mastery
- ERP (VAI S2K) management: SKU creation, categorization, and attribute mapping.
- Adobe Commerce (Magento): B2B listing accuracy, pricing validation, and order guide management.
- Shopify Plus: B2C product optimization, marketplace integration, and consumer-facing data validation.
- TrackMax: Pricing analysis, margin validation, and error detection.
- BFC Dakota WMS: Inventory data integrity, warehouse slotting verification, and weight compliance.
4. Cross-Platform Data Synchronization
- Ensure zero discrepancies between ERP, ecommerce platforms, and third-party integrations.
- Audit live product listings for missing details, outdated images, and inconsistent formatting.
5. Product Data Enhancement & SEO Optimization
- Ensure all product descriptions are customer-centric, SEO-friendly, and optimized for searchability.
- Fix category tagging issues that impact search functionality on B2B & B2C platforms.
6. Internal Collaboration & Enforcement
- Hold internal teams accountable for incorrect or incomplete data.
- Ensure buyers, sales teams, and warehouse managers follow strict data integrity protocols.
- Proactively fix systemic data entry issues before they escalate into operational problems.
