Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Manager to lead our Capitol Heights facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations, a keen eye for efficiency improvements, and a passion for team development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, OSHA, and company-specific safety protocols.
- Lead, mentor, and develop warehouse staff, promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence.
- Collaborate with transportation and logistics teams to optimize delivery schedules and routes.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to identify areas for process enhancements and cost savings.
- Maintain open communication with senior management, providing regular updates on warehouse performance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years in warehouse management, preferably within the food distribution sector.
- Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software.
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams in a high-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends as necessary.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative solutions.
