Overnight Baker

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a love for creating delicious baked goods. As a Baker, you will be responsible for producing high-quality pastries, breads, and other baked items while ensuring adherence to food safety standards. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Duties

• Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, and desserts according to established recipes.
• Measure and weigh ingredients.
• Combine measured ingredients in mixers or blenders.
• Knead, roll, cut, and shape dough.
• Prepare and fill pans, molds, or baking sheets.
• Set oven temperatures and place items into ovens.
• Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards in taste, texture, and presentation.
• Package finished products for display and sale while maintaining proper food handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
• Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely production of baked goods for customers.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons and addressing any inquiries regarding baked products.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the food industry, preferably in a bakery or restaurant setting.
• Strong skills in food preparation, baking techniques, and pastry creation.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow recipes accurately.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends as needed.
• A passion for baking and ability to follow recipes is highly desirable.
