ROLE OVERVIEW
At Jumbo’s Pickleball, we prioritize the experience of our community — from the first-time visitor to the seasoned player. The Pickleball Director plays a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of our club while ensuring an exceptional experience for our members and guests. This role combines exceptional on-court duties with higher-level management responsibilities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service and Management
- Act as a point of contact for all members and visitors to the club
- Create, manage, and shape the pickleball programming.
- Above all else – will be a vital part of a team environment where everyone shares in the responsibilities of making Jumbo's Pickleball an exceptional club
- Manage, train, and guide the pickleball staff to achieve the highest level of member satisfaction.
- Address customers on court queries, concerns, and feedback in a timely, professional, and personable manner through email, and phone.
- Promote a positive and welcoming environment for staff, members, and guests.
- Be able to answer questions about pickleball play, gear, and industry.
- Create and manage open games, clinics, and tournaments for customers to join as they come to the club.
- Jump onto the court to play when customers need to fill a game or event.
On Court
Program Management
- Strategize and manage all programming, clinics, camps, private lessons, and more.
- Manage assistant pros, their skill levels, and lesson performance.
- Manage the programs at the facility.
- Oversee daily on court operations, including court maintenance, equipment management, lesson programming, and overall court cleanliness.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure cleanliness and safety of the courts, lounge, and surrounding area.
- Ensure that all areas are tidy, equipment is in good condition, and any reported issues are addressed promptly.
- Manage, oversee, and support the setup and takedown for any club-sponsored activities including camps, clinics, leagues and tournaments.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
- Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams for routine upkeep and repairs.
Tournaments and Leagues
- Manage/Run/Review Tournaments and Leagues (recruit new players and members)
- Tournaments and leagues are essential parts of our revenue model.
- The goal is to eventually have repeatable processes built so that many other people can run tournaments and leagues without managers leading the effort.
- Reports should be delivered as to the progress made after each tournament and why we believe we’re moving in the right direction of building repeatable processes.
- Reports should include information about revenue vs. expenses, the attendees and their make-up, issues/lessons learned, and feedback from volunteers, staff, and players.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in racquet sports facility management, hospitality, or related fields
- Pickleball instructor certification (preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., booking systems)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Pickleball playing level at 4.0 or higher is a plus

Background Check
This offer is contingent upon the completion of a background and reference check. Your employment with the Jumbo's PIckleball will be for no specified period and will be deemed "at-will." As a result, you are free to resign at any time for any reason or for no reason. At least two weeks’ notice of leaving your position is requested. Similarly, the Club is free to terminate its employment relationship with you at any time, with or without cause. Your employment with Jumbo's Pickleball will be subject to all of the terms and conditions which affect the Club's other employees, including the terms and conditions set forth in any employment policies or procedures manual published by the Club. Jumbo’s Pickleball reserves the right to change the position title for which you are being hired and/or your duties at any time.
Schedule
- Weekday 8 hour shifts (4 hours on court & 4 hours administrative)
- Expected hours: 40 per week
- Evening shifts when needed
- Weekends when needed
Benefits
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience RANGES FROM $77,000 - $110,000
- Percentage of lesson revenue

This letter sets forth the principal terms and conditions of your employment with the Club, and supersedes any prior discussions, representations, promises or agreements, whether written or oral.
Salary : $77,000 - $110,000
