Job Overview: As a Groundskeeper/Outside Facilities Maintenance Worker, you will take charge of various maintenance and landscaping tasks to ensure our restaurants' exterior areas are always fresh, clean, and inviting. This role involves autonomous responsibilities as well as collaboration on maintenance projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Change marquee reader boards as needed
- Maintain and clean outside menu boards and directional signs
- Keep outdoor trash cans and dumpsters clean and free of debris
- Power-wash parking lots and clean outside walls
- Maintain parking blocks and stripe parking lots
- Manage irrigation systems, fountains, and outdoor faucets
- Perform lawn care and plant maintenance
- Handle seasonal tasks such as salting walkways in winter and leaf removal in fall
- Plant and maintain seasonal flowerbeds (twice a year)
- Maintain pathways, edge around sidewalks, and mulch flower beds
- Operate power mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment
Skills & Qualifications:
- Dependability: Must be reliable and punctual
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions
- Attention to Detail: Ensure all areas are well-maintained and presentable
- Knowledge of Plants: Familiarity with plant care and landscaping techniques
- Equipment Operation: Proficient in using mowers, trimmers, and other tools
- Weather Awareness: Ability to adapt to and work effectively in different weather conditions
