Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, A/P and A/R analysis and entry.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with relevant regulations
- Utilize accounting software, such as A2000, to manage financial records and generate reports
- Apply double-entry bookkeeping principles to maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts
- Manage accounts receivable by invoicing clients, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies
- Perform bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of recorded transactions
- Prepare journal entries for month-end and year-end closing
Skills:
- Apparel experience a strong plus
- Proficiency in balance sheet reconciliation techniques
- Familiarity with A2000 accounting software or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Ability to manage accounts receivable processes effectively
- Experience working in public accounting or a similar finance role
- Knowledge of GAAP and its application in financial reporting
- Competence in bank reconciliation procedures
- Proficient in preparing journal entries for financial statements
