Event Set Up Crew Member

JUMP is looking for a reliable and energetic individual to join our team working behind the scenes to make events come to life! The Event Setup Crew is responsible for the set up and break down of all events, from large scale community events to nonprofit fundraisers to local conferences, all held here at Jack’s Urban Meeting Place (JUMP).

Tables. Linens. Chairs. Sounds easy, right? But Setup Crew isn’t just responsible for the physical setup of the spaces, Setup Crew Members setup an event for success. As an Event Setup Crew Member, you are responsible for preparing our spaces—ballrooms, studios, meeting rooms, and more—for a wide variety of events of all sizes. Setup Crew must be able to work independently, and as a team, quickly and efficiently with accuracy and detail, ensuring rooms are set per request and ready for the event.

Responsibilities:

· Setup and breakdown of event spaces (tables, chairs, stages, décor, etc.)

· Assist with loading/unloading of event supplies and equipment

· Support event staff with on-site logistics and last-minute needs

· Ensure all spaces are clean, safe, and well-organized before and after events

· Follow timelines and floorplans with accuracy under the guidance of the Event Setup Supervisor

· Handle equipment with care, and report any maintenance or repair needs

· Assist with basic tech setup (microphones, projectors, etc.)

· Appropriately represent JUMP and provide exceptional customer service to event partners and guests

· Assist with miscellaneous activities supporting operations as necessary

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

· Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time

· Comfortable working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and flexible shifts

· Dependable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team

· Detail-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative

· Positive attitude and willingness to JUMP in and lend a helping hand

· Willingness to throw on a costume at a moment’s notice

· Enjoys a creative (and sometimes chaotic) work environment where collaboration and crazy ideas are encouraged.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
