Come join our small knit group! We are an established preschool in search of an enthusiastic and caring Lead Preschool Teacher to join our preschool child care team and work with children ages 3-5 years!
Jumper Bean is a New York State licensed facility. Here at Jumper Bean we have created an environment where children feel safe, eat well balanced organic meals, are encouraged to play, stay active, and learn about the environment.
Our program strives for excellence and provides the highest quality care to our children and their families. A Preschool Teacher at our center will plan and implement daily educational program’s that are developmentally appropriate, supervise the class, play with children outdoors, help with meal time, hold parent conferences, keep children safe, and maintain a clean and orderly room and Center.
Responsibilities :
Reports to center Director and Lead Teachers Adheres to OCFS regulations at all times.Participates in the planning of curriculum and lesson plans as needed / directed by head teacher.Implements plans and activities alongside the lead teacher.Engage with children.Confer with the Lead teacher on program goals, evaluations and opportunities for improvement.Share pertinent information or concerns about individual children with the Lead Teacher or Directors.Keeps and assists in a safe and clean environment both inside and outside of the school. Assists in the maintenance of daily attendance, health records, incident reports and Brightwheel as needed.Ensures a physically safe and clean environment both inside and outside by eliminating potential hazards and making your Director aware of hazards you are unable to illuminate.Reports observations of illness, communicable diseases, abuse or neglect to the teacher or Director.Participates in staff meetings and training sessions. Participates in the cleaning of the classroom.Participates in the personal hygiene of the children.Shares kitchen duties as needed, preparing and cleaning up lunch and snacks.Shares in the cleaning duties of the center.Shares in the restocking duties of the center.Assumes responsibility for professional growth in areas of Early Childhood Education by setting goals, evaluating and improving one’s performance.Qualifications :
One year of teaching experience in a daycare or related settingAssociates degree in Early Childhood or related field (Preferred)Job Type : Full-time
Pay : $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
