ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and monitor all children at all times.
- Display the ability to apply Early Childhood Development philosophy in daily activities and adapt to the individual needs of children.
- Develop and utilize cohesive curriculum plans that include HSCDELF domain components, support agency School Readiness goals and promote positive child outcomes.
- Ensures a well run and purposeful classroom that is developmentally appropriate, inclusive and is supportive of all children’s needs
- Develop learning foundations for all children that are progressive to ensure that academic and developmental gains are sustainable.
- Provide an atmosphere that promotes and reinforces parental engagement in the classroom.
- Facilitate potty training for children who are in need
- Adhere to center safety policies and practice safe working conditions
- Keep assigned areas in neat & orderly fashion
- Implement and maintain all documentation standards as required, consistently and ensuring confidentiality
- Communicate and work effectively with the teacher’s assistant assigned to the classroom
- Maintain a good attitude and work as a team with other staff
- Report any problems or concerns to the Executive Director.
Minimum Qualifications
· Must be at least 18 years old
· Must be able to pass all criminal background checks
· Must obtain an annual physical & TB skin test
· Must be a steady reliable worker
· Must be able to perform simple tasks independently after given specific instructions
· Must Display good language skills and verbal projection.
· Must show all competencies listed in the job description for “All Staff”
Physical Qualifications
· Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, crouch, stand for several hours, walk short distances and reach heights
· Vision sufficient for supervision of children
· Must have sufficient strength and manual skill to lift children
Environment conditions
· Required work habits include regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, promptness & communicate appropriately
· The ability to handle a fast paced changing environment
· Ability to be flexible with work assignments & work schedules
· Preserve confidentiality & display a positive attitude
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $14.20 per hour
