POSITION OVERVIEW
Jumpstart is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Director of Data Governance & Reporting for the Advancement Office. This role will report to the Head of Advancement Strategy, Operations, and Integration and will be responsible for developing and managing robust data governance systems and norms, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, providing training and support to staff, and supporting strategic decision-making through data analysis. The Director will also play a key role in integrating revenue reporting with the organization’s financial reporting and forecasting. This role will work closely with various teams to optimize data collection, analysis, and reporting processes, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of Jumpstart’s fundraising and advancement initiatives. While the primary focus will be on the Advancement Office, this role may also support some cross-functional data projects as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Governance and Operations
•Develop and maintain a comprehensive set of data requirements and norms to support the collection, storage, and analysis of advancement data.
•Identify and address gaps in data quality and improve data quality measuring mechanisms
•Perform complex data operations, including mass data operations.
•Create accountability mechanisms for data norms and requirements and monitor adherence to the data policies and identify trends/support needs.
Reporting and Analysis
•Develop dashboards and visualizations to present advancement data in a clear and actionable manner.
•Generate and manage regular and ad hoc reports to meet needs for internal and external stakeholders.
•Conduct data analysis to support strategic decision-making within the Advancement Office, identify trends, and inform fundraising strategies.
•Support other cross-functional initiatives by providing relevant data and analysis as needed.
Integration with Financial Systems
•Partner with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
•Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting related to fundraising revenue.
•Develop financial policies and procedures related to fundraising activities.
•Ensure compliance with accounting principles and organizational policies related to fundraising revenue.
Training and Support
•Train advancement staff on data systems and reporting tools to ensure consistent and accurate data entry and usage.
•Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for data-related issues within the Advancement Office.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
•Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in development operations or fundraising.
•Experience with Salesforce, including creating reports, managing custom fields, and setting up automated workflows.
•Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
•Strong understanding of fundraising principles and best practices.
•Excellent organizational and time management skills
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary : $100,000 - $110,000
