What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician position at June E. Nylen Cancer Center?
Receives and processes written and faxed prescriptions from on-site physicians and nurse practitioners using Liberty Software. Verifies complete patient information to input into the computer and enters prescription data into the computer. Processes 3rd party prescriptions and manages adjudication review.
One year of Pharmacy Tech experience is strongly preferred. Pharm Tech must maintain registration with the State of Iowa as a Certified Pharmacy Technician to meet Iowa Board of Pharmacy regulations. Must also maintain registration with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board as a Certified Pharmacy Tech to meet Iowa Board of Pharmacy regulations. Excellent attention to detail is needed along with excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with patients and all members of the healthcare team.
