This position is responsible for the delivery of home delivered meals, bulk food items, various supplies, as well as provides transportation services for individuals age 60 and over or individuals living with a disability in Juneau for residents of Juneau County. Delivers monthly AGELESS Newsletters to businesses within Juneau County.The following duties are normal for this position. However, they are not to be construed as exclusive or all–inclusive. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other duties may also be required or assigned.

- Transports home-delivered meals from the Juneau County Senior Meal Sites to program participants in Juneau County.
- Transports home-delivered meals to Meals on Wheels program participants in Juneau County.
- Transports individuals living with a disability and or age 60 and over to and from appointments, shopping trips, etc., by use of handicap accessible van and/or mini bus as scheduled by the ADRC/Aging Office.
- Assists riders to/from their home and into/out of the vehicle safely; assists with packages.
- Secures wheelchairs and other mobility devices in the bus.
- Coordinates with front office for purpose of scheduled trips, meal delivery routes, etc.
- Accurately records daily mileage, meal stops, client transportation stops, and collection of fares on written reports.
- Returns clean serving pans, trays, containers, etc., to appropriate meal site.
- Transports meal site supplies to meal sites.
- Assists supervisor with route schedule for efficiency of food delivery.
- Secures equipment and returns to designated space.
- Performs regular outreach and other services which facilitate the awareness and use of the senior nutrition and transportation program by aging adults and adults living with a disability.
- Performs and documents daily safety inspection of vehicle.
- Keeps interior and exterior of all County food transport and transportation vehicles clean and maintained.
- Immediately reports accidents and vehicle breakdowns.
- Ensures all activities are carried out in a safe manner; adheres to all County safety regulations; ensures equipment is safely maintained.
- Reports all accidents to the appropriate authority. Follows all policies for reporting, investigating, and follow-up of equipment incidents, or personal injuries.
- Other duties as assigned.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license required.
- Knowledge of and sensitivity toward the needs of older adults and adults with disabilities.
- Knowledge of Juneau County communities, roads and highways; ability to read maps.
- Knowledge and skill in the use of specialized equipment and tools required for the position.
- Knowledge of the occupational hazards of the work and necessary safety precautions.
- Ability to understand and follow simple oral and written instructions and adhere to prescribed departmental routines.
- Ability to maintain accurate records of assigned activities.
- Skill in time management; prioritizing duties to accomplish a high volume of quality work product requiring minimal supervision.
- Ability to define problems, exercise sound judgment, and address a variety of situations successfully.
- Knowledge and ability to follow the policies and practices contained in the County Personnel Handbook.
- Ability to work the allocated hours of the position and respond after hours if needed.
