We are in search of a Distribution & Logistics Manager to add to our growing team! A successful Distribution & Logistics Manager will have strong people skills to drive a department responsible for distributing and transporting all products (cannabis and non-cannabis) from production facilities to retail stores. The chosen candidate will demonstrate excellent team management, data entry, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Management Duties
- Hires and onboards the Distribution Specialists and Delivery fleet team members.
- Proactively train, evaluate and motivate Distribution and Delivery team members.
- Responsible for the job assignments and output of the Distribution and Delivery team members.
Requirements and Responsibilities
- Overseeing all distribution and delivery tasks related to picking, packing, staging, manifesting, and inventorying of all finished goods products to retail stores, including cannabis and non-cannabis products.
- Partners directly with the Inventory and Planning departments to support local facility transfers with delivery team.
- Manage daily stock movement, stock accuracy, cycle counts, and space optimization in the Distribution facilities.
- Ensure continuous improvement in all distribution and logistics processes; and that prompt action is taken with any issue reporting from internal and external partners.
- Performs regular inventory audits and cycle counts with the Inventory team at the Distribution facilities, as required
- Oversees the Distribution team for all cannabis and non-cannabis inventory tracking and manifesting to ensure 100% accuracy upon receipt at retail locations.
- Strategically plan and manage logistics for the delivery drivers through route optimization, best driving practices, and fleet vehicle maintenance.
- Ensure targets and deadlines are clearly understood and are being achieved by the Distribution and Logistics teams to meet business needs, including in-store launch dates at retail locations.
- Ensuring compliance with all related regulations and SOPs to guarantee 100% Inventory accuracy in the seed-to-sale software.
- Complying with all documented security procedures and safeguarding inventory against diversion, including at facilities, during transport, and delivery to retail locations.
- Attends all required facility meetings, provides insight and feedback during team meetings, and contributes flexible work hours as the business requires.
- Ability to remain agile and composed in high stress situations; works well in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in inventory tracking software in a cannabis, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related field
- Demonstrated understanding of Excel and Microsoft Suite
- Proficiency in data entry and mathematical calculations
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standard operating procedures, checklists, and protocols.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in management role in a manufacturing or cannabis environment, or similar
