Job Title: Facility Sanitation Specialist
Reports to: Quality Control Manager

Jungle Boys is searching for a Facility Sanitation Specialist. The responsibility of the Sanitarian Specialist will be to keep the facility in a clean and orderly condition. The Sanitarian will be responsible for basic and routine to specialty and intensive cleaning throughout the cultivation and production facility. This position will work closely with management personnel and the QC team to maintain a contaminate-free environment for product and employee safety. This position requires excellent observation, thoroughness, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Requirements:
- Maintain an environment that is sanitary, attractive, and in orderly condition.
- Perform light cleaning duties, such as wiping tables, wiping door handles, and dusting.
- Perform heavy duty cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls, and removing trash.
- Clean and maintain all common areas of the facility, including breakrooms, conference rooms, offices, locker rooms, and restrooms (estimated 7000 square feet)
- Clean and maintain all common hallways of the production departments (estimated 3000 square feet)
- Position will primarily not be responsible for the cultivation department or the lab department sanitation in the facility, except as determined by the Head of Cultivation
- Regularly check the waste receptacles in all common areas, emptying as needed.
- Uses all tools, cleaners, sprays, wipes, etc. as provided by the company to complete the job requirements.
- Ensure that cleaning activities do not pose contamination risk to the products or plants.
- Maintain the Master Cleaning Schedule for the scope of work as determined by the QC team leader. Full scope of work subject to change with facility needs.
- Identifies and brings awareness to potential risk factors between people and environments; develops corrective action plan, as needed.
- Partners with management team for resolution to potential contamination risk issues.
- Communicate clearly, proactively, and concisely with all management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in sanitation in a warehouse, manufacturing, or similar environment with large square footage of coverage.
- Ability to stand, squat, walk, climb ladders, and reach for extended periods of time.
- Flexibility in available hours to meet business needs; weekend and/or night availability as required.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standard operating procedures, checklists, and protocols.
