We are in search of an Inventory Specialist to manage our non-cannabis supplies – from packaging to uniforms to operational materials. A successful Inventory Specialist will be hyper-organized, is a multi-tasking expert, and is obsessive about the details. The chosen candidate will demonstrate creativity, self-starter abilities, and excellent reporting and tracking abilities.
Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Manage weekly stock movement, stock accuracy, and space optimization of all supplies and cannabis packaging on-hand, including items stored onsite and offsite.
- Oversees weekly cannabis packaging usage by the Production Department; helps determine proper inventory levels to manage overuse and waste.
- Place all supply orders for the facility; manage the budgets set by Home Office and challenge usage by facility departments, as needed.
- Performing regular inventory audits for the Cultivation, Production, and Distribution departments as it relates to operational supplies; identify opportunities for usage.
- Receive all inbound orders to the facility; inventory, report discrepancies, stock and distribute as required. Orders can include, packaging, retail supplies, apparel, operational goods, cleaning supplies, freight, and cultivation materials.
- Partner with Cultivation, Production, and Distribution departments to order all operational supply needs, including office supplies, cleaning supplies, PPE supplies, nutrients, growing supplies, etc.
- Report weekly to Procurement Manager the current inventory levels for cannabis packaging receptacles, retail supplies, and others as required; use par levels based on projections to determine needs.
- Partner with the Procurement Manager to confirm upcoming buys are properly positioned, received, and distributed throughout the facility.
- Continually seek improvements in inventory processes; create spreadsheets and checklists, as needed, for more efficient supply ordering by facility departments. Maintain professional relationships with external vendors
- - laundry service, uniform service, refreshment service; receive and acknowledge deliveries weekly.
- Partners with Procurement Manager to acquire new vendors for facility as business needs evolve.
- Works well across multiple partners and functions; able to communicate effectively to all areas of the facility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word
- Proficiency in data entry and mathematical calculations
- Understanding of warehouse and inventory maintenance operatives
- Willingness to participate in freight deliveries; Forklift qualifications.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standard operating procedures, checklists, and protocols.

Working Environment:
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment can range from low to high. Temperatures in the work environment range from cold and dry to warm and humid, respective to the product processes and plant lifecycle. The work environment requires the use of PPE at all phases, and strict cleaning and cross-contamination protocols. The product and plants are agriculture goods that have the ability to produce odors that may linger, can penetrate clothing, and heighten senses.
