The ideal Lab Packaging Tech is a detailed individual that is good with their hands and mentally sharp. This job does require the ability to sit or stand in one place all day. As a Lab Packaging Assistant, you are responsible for preparing bulk cannabis extract, hash, and rosin for retail sale.
Requirements :
- Prepare finished concentrate product for packaging
- Filling gram jars of finished hash and rosin; Accurately weigh concentrate material following all quality control (QC) standards
- Filling and assembling rosin vape pens; ability to operate machinery
- Labeling concentrate jars and vape pen receptacles for compliance
- Follow all QC protocols set forth within the department, including cleaning, storage, and green waste standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Ability to follow precise direction and timelines for all tasks, and remain flexible as business needs evolve
- Accurate record keeping of all details pertaining to packaging and inventory

Physical and Mental Demands :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and position oneself, communicate, operate and prepare, and place, and position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 20 lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus. The mental and physical requirements described here represent those that must be met by an individual, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform the essential functions of this position successfully.
Working Environment :
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment can range from low to high. Temperatures in the work environment range from cold and dry to warm and humid, respective to the product processes and plant lifecycle. The work environment requires the use of PPE at all phases, and strict cleaning and cross-contamination protocols. The product and plants are agriculture goods that have the ability to produce odors that may linger, can penetrate clothing, and heighten senses.
