Position Concept
The Entrepreneurship Manager provides an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic, organized individual to support the implementation and expansion of Junior Achievement’s entrepreneurship programs in Central Maryland.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Senior Director, Entrepreneurship to expand and enhance JA Company Program implementation in Central Maryland counties.
- Implement plans to recruit high school students for participation in the JA Company Program in-school and after-school entrepreneurship opportunities.
- Deliver JA presentations to support program growth to districts, schools, and prospective after-school locations.
- Support community volunteers and business partners while participating in JA Company in-school and after-school programs.
- Coordinate program delivery and overall operation of the program
- Explore and implement corporate company program delivery options.
- Manage learning management system relative to Company Program implementation and acts as the liaison with JA USA regarding program administration.
- Assist Senior Director, Entrepreneurship in budget development for programs and program-related activities, e.g., coordinator orientation, recognition events, student workshops, competitions, etc.
- Work collaboratively with Senior Director, Entrepreneurship to support coordinator training, student recruitment, and program oversight during the in-school and after-school Company Programs
- Represent JA for entrepreneurship-related community organizations, programs, and events. Help increase public awareness in the education community through presentations, newsletters, and social media.
- Work directly with Senior Director, Entrepreneurship on planning and implementation of JA Company Program Student Competitions
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Senior Director Entrepreneurship, education team and other departments.
Education/ Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree
- Two years of relevant program management, business, or non-profit experience
- Passion for expanding outreach efforts and fueling the entrepreneurial pipeline in Central Maryland
- Proven history of successful program implementation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and self-starter
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office platforms
- Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to interact with a wide variety of people
- Ability to work some evenings on a regular basis throughout the Central Maryland Region
Desired
- Understanding of 21st century learning skills and blended learning platforms
- Familiarity or previous experience with JA.
- Entrepreneurial background or connections
- Experience using a learning management system to deliver curriculum and track progress
- Experience using social media and other channels for volunteer, educator, and partner communications
- Experience using CRM system
