Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana’s (JANI) purpose is to inspire and prepare youth to achieve economic freedom through financial literacy, work and career readiness, and entrepreneurial experiences. POSITION:
The Development Manager will manage fundraising and events as designated in Allen County assuring that quality service is provided to JA customers while meeting organizational goals. This position is 40 hours per week and is based out of Allen County in the JANI office.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Plan, coordinate, and manage a variety of fundraising events, including Purse-ology, golf events, auctions, and staff day bowling fundraisers to hit/exceed goals.
o Organize and oversee event logistics with a detailed timeline and calendar to ensure tasks are prioritized and executed efficiently.
o Administer and manage event budgets, identifying opportunities to maximize fundraising revenue.
o Use creativity and innovation to tailor event experiences to engage target audiences and enhance the impact of each event.
o Support committee meetings, assist with administrative tasks, and contribute to other organizational needs as required.
o Track and report on event outcomes, including fundraising totals, donor engagement, and participant feedback, to evaluate success and inform future events.
o Manage all event logistics, including budgeting, venue selection, vendor coordination, volunteer management, and day-of-event execution to ensure a seamless experience.
o Serve as a representative and ambassador for JANI, building relationships with sponsors, donors, and attendees to encourage ongoing engagement and support, including volunteering, donating, or partnering.
o Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events through email campaigns, social media, and other channels.
o Manage a current donor portfolio to steward and level-up annual commitments to hit/exceed goals.
o Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities including corporate sponsorships, individual donors, and partnerships to hit/exceed goals.
o Maintain data in donor database, tracking contributions, acknowledgments, and stewardship efforts.
o Monitor industry trends and best practices to enhance fundraising and event planning efforts.
o Perform other duties as assigned, occasionally including early mornings, weeknights, and weekends.
