About JGPA:
The Junior Golf Preparatory Academy (JGPA) offers dynamic and educational golf experiences for children, 3-15 years of age. As the largest junior program in central Florida, we coach over 2000 students across four locations. Additionally, we provide consulting services to international golf federations and other academies. Our "preparatory experience" aims to prepare kids with valuable life skills and a lifelong passion for the sport.
Responsibilities:
Coaching:
- Manage and instruct groups of children aged 3-15, inspiring a love for golf and serving as a high-energy mentor.
- Create and execute engaging class plans that are both educational and fun.
- Lead group classes and provide private lessons to students of varying skill levels.
- Participate in paid training to build confidence in coaching and managing groups.
Caddying:
- Serve as a caddie for junior golfers during weekend tournaments, assisting with club selection, course strategy, and on-course decision-making.
- Support juniors with pre-tournament warm-ups and post-tournament reflections.
- Familiarize yourself with each junior's game, yardages, and tendencies to provide optimal support during competitions.
- Work closely with the same junior golfer throughout the season, helping them advance to championships and major events.
Location and Time Commitment:
- Coaching: Weekdays from 4:00PM - 6:00PM.
- Caddying: Weekend tournaments, with events lasting 4-8 hours depending on the format.
- Tournaments held at various golf courses across Orlando, with paid drive time included.
