Job Purpose:
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of high-quality deli products, maintaining a clean and organized deli area, and adhering to food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service, assisting customers with product selection, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Slice, weigh, and package a variety of deli meats and cheeses to customer specifications.
- Prepare made-to-order sandwiches, salads, and other deli items according to established recipes and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized deli counter, including stocking and rotating products, cleaning equipment, and ensuring proper food storage.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handwashing, temperature control, and product handling.
- Monitor product quality and freshness, rotating stock and removing outdated items.
- Operate and maintain deli equipment, such as slicers, scales, and wrapping machines.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and stocking shelves.
- May be responsible for opening or closing the deli department, including cash handling and reconciliation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Deli Manager or other supervisory staff.

- Previous experience in a deli or food service environment preferred.
