Role: Oversees all Dining Services team members by providing guidance, training and directions to associates. Acts as a liaison with other members of the Leadership Team, residents, and family members.
Responsibilities:
Ensures the provision of a continuous high quality of service within the Dining Services department through ongoing supervision, oversight and delegation.
Ensures proper sanitation and compliance to all Health Department regulations and company guidelines related to food service.
Responsible for the procurement of food and food service supplies; production of food; keeping department within budget within established guidelines and submits recommendations for budget completion, equipment and supplies.
Works with other members of management to ensure dietary needs of residents are met and planning/implementation of special events; maintains effective communication between management, residents, and family members; makes written and oral reports as necessary.
Performs continuous, ongoing, supervision of all Dining Services staff including but not limited to recruiting, retaining, disciplining, counseling, motivating, scheduling, and evaluating; establishes and builds rapport among team members to facilitate teamwork.
Requirements:
High School Diploma and educational background in Culinary Arts (required)
Managing in high volume production kitchens with at least 30 staff members under their direction
Knowledge and ability to operate all food service equipment.
Knowledge of all applicable governmental regulations related to food service.
Knowledge of the physiology, psychology and dietary needs of older adults.
