Job Overview
We are looking for someone with experience in dental scheduling and billing who would be interested in working full-time 4 days/wk. The position will primarily be for front office. However, dental assisting experience with x-ray certification is required. EFDA is a plus. The job will include helping in the back office with x-rays, digital scans, and filling in as an assistant with the dentist as needed.

Responsibilities
- Assist with patient scheduling and appointment management to ensure efficient office flow.
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient information using electronic health record systems such as Dentrix.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
- Conduct preliminary patient assessments, including taking vital signs, taking x-rays and documenting medical history
- Support the dental team during procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Manage billing processes, including medical coding for insurance claims.
- Operate 3D scanners for imaging as needed in various dental procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is required.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically Dentrix, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and ability to maintain a clean working environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing medical records and scheduling appointments effectively.
- Ability to take vital signs accurately and assist in basic patient assessments.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff members.
- Knowledge of dental insurance and processing dental claims.
