Juniper is Growing! We are seeking a Fleet/Equipment Shop Manager to join our team. The Shop Manager is responsible for performing and managing the service and repairs on our truck fleet (including diesel engines), heavy equipment, 2-cycle engines, and lawn mowers for our landscape operations team. This positionis responsible for adhering to established budgets, maintainingquality control, and promotinga positive culture focused on safety and continuous improvement.

Shop Manager Responsibilities:
- Performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of large and small engines (trucks, heavy-duty equipment, 2-cycle equipment, lawn mowers, etc.)
- Ensuring that all equipment and vehicles operate efficiently and safely at all times.
- Managing the maintenance program for all fleet and equipment for the branch.
- Identifying problem equipment and vehicles and proposing solutions.
- Training personnel on the correct way to service, maintain and operate our equipment and vehicles.
- Managing and supervising mechanics as well as managing outside vendors as needed.
- Maintaining and organizing the shop area, including maintaining parts inventories.
- Providing information and reports on equipment and vehicles for the branch.
- Accurately document and maintain files on all repair work performed, upcoming preventative maintenance schedules, etc.
- Other relevant job duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy and medium duty equipment, and diesel trucks
- Diesel engine repair experience
- Heavy equipment repair experience
- 2-cycle equipment repair knowledge
- Mower and landscape equipment knowledge
- Ability to read and write the English language required
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred
- Valid drivers license required; Class B license preferred
- Computer proficiency
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deadline-driven
- Strong communication skills
- Team player with solid customer-service skills
- Physical ability to walk, stand, bend, and squat during entire shift
- Ability to move and lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
- Post-secondary vocational education strongly preferred
