Shooter & Lindsey is Growing! We are seeking a Safety Manager to join our team at our Katy, Texas location. The Safety Manager will play a critical role in promoting a culture of safety, compliance, and risk management across all operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as company standards.
• Update and develop safety programs when needed or as assigned by the Director.
• Conduct regular safety training sessions for all employees including OSHA10/30 and First Aid/CPR, ensuring employees understand and adhere to safety requirements and understand expectations.
• Perform regular site inspections and audits to build relationships and identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare safety reports detailing findings and follow-up actions.
• Partner with field leaders to ensure proper implementation.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses, conducting thorough root cause analyses to prevent recurrence. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all incidents.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other applicable safety standards. Stay updated on changes in safety laws and regulations affecting the landscaping industry particularly in Texas.
• Oversee the regular procurement, maintenance, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment.
• Work closely in the field with team leaders, management and HR to promote a culture of safety and encourage employee participation in safety initiatives.
• Prepare and present safety performance reports to the Safety Department Director, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety role, preferably as a leader in the landscaping or construction industry.
• Experience managing contract expectations for Oil & Gas clients highly desired.
• OSHA 10/30 Training Certification and other Safety certifications (CSP, CHST) desired.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety best practices, and risk management principles.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to train and motivate employees at all levels required.
• Spanish speaking skills strongly desired.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
