As the Marketing Lead over our Retail division, you own the marketing communications calendar, partnerships, and sponsorships for the business. Overseeing ideation, development, merchandising, Shopper Marketing, and Digital Shelf execution for our Retail businesses. In addition, you’ll lead key marketing projects related to building our brand awareness, lead generation, and customer activation in retail. Organization, communication, and collaboration are key skills to ensure your success and value in this position. An understanding of the Retail markets will also be critical to building our tactical executional plans that drive business results.
As the point person for marketing communications across our Retail businesses, you will work with our sales teams and licensing coordinator to elevate our product marketing with and through retailers. As the lead marketer for these business segments, you will immerse yourself in the Retail markets and ensure every project and campaign we deploy is on-brand and achieving our goals of sell-thru, revenue growth, customer engagement, and increasing awareness of our products and services with the mission of being the most respected headwear company in the industries we service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Campaign Strategy & Execution
- Lead the ideation, development, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns in collaboration with sales, retail partners, and license partners.
- Ensure campaigns align with brand positioning, business objectives, and retail partner goals.
- Manage timelines, deliverables, and execution strategies to maximize impact across retail channels.
Retail Marketing Communications & Calendar Management
- Own and manage the Retail Marketing Communications Calendar, ensuring alignment across internal teams, retailers, and business units.
- Develop structured messaging and promotional cadences to support product launches, seasonal pushes, and partnership opportunities.
Retail Coordination & Awareness Building
- Act as the primary marketing liaison for key retail accounts, collaborating with them to build awareness for featured products, programs, and brand initiatives.
- Ensure marketing efforts are synchronized across retail teams, aligning brand goals with retailer-specific objectives and promotional cycles.
Shopper Marketing Programs
- Develop and execute shopper marketing initiatives that drive conversion at retail, both online and in-store.
- Collaborate with retailers to activate co-branded promotions, in-store events, influencer collaborations, and experiential marketing efforts.
- Work closely with insights teams to leverage consumer data and shopper behavior trends to optimize retail marketing strategies.
Digital Shelf & Product Marketing Data Management
- Oversee the digital shelf presence for major retail partners, ensuring brand and product content is optimized for visibility, searchability, and conversion.
- Manage the product marketing data pipeline, ensuring seamless updates and syndication across retailer platforms with assistance from the Digital team.
- Partner with internal teams to maintain accuracy in product descriptions, images, videos, and enhanced content.
Social Media & Retail Brand Presence
- Develop and manage social media content strategies tailored to retail audiences, ensuring engagement across key platforms.
- Coordinate with retailers on cross-promotional opportunities, influencer collaborations, and sponsored content initiatives.
Merchandising & In-Store Marketing Solutions
- Assist in the design, development, and deployment of retail merchandising solutions, including displays, signage, and point-of-sale materials.
- Work closely with sales and retail partners to ensure merchandising aligns with consumer behavior insights and brand guidelines.
Retail-Branded Websites Oversight
- Oversee retail-branded websites within the retail division, ensuring up-to-date product listings, programs and marketing content.
- Work with internal digital teams to optimize website performance and user experience.
Performance Reporting & KPI Development
- Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of retail marketing campaigns, partnerships, and sponsorships.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on performance data to refine future strategies.
Press & Industry Communications
- Coordinate press releases and industry-facing announcements to highlight brand initiatives, new product launches, and retail partnerships.
- Work with PR teams and industry publications to maximize brand visibility and thought leadership.
Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Stay informed on market dynamics, competitive activity, retail advertising trends, and emerging platforms.
- Leverage insights to continuously refine retail marketing strategies and ensure the brand remains at the forefront of industry developments.

Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or institution, emphasis in marketing preferred.
- 3-5 years of related marketing experience across a range of marketing disciplines
- Some experience in the Retail apparel space required
- Some history of leadership or leading peers through influence and traceable accountability
- Ability to travel 10-20%. Generally short overnight trips to meet customers, occasional longer trips to multi-day tradeshows.
- Proven history with concept development and creative direction

- Interest in the business and sectors where we sell with an understanding of business objectives
- Some understanding of marketing tools and platforms: Office 365 and Mac OSX, Google Ads, Analytics, Meta & TikTok Business Managers, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, and similar services for CRM in direct and performance marketing channels.

Physical / Mental Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position (seated) 80% of the day and occasionally reach, bend, and move inside the office to access files and product.
- Required to have close visual acuity to perform computer tasks and operate other office machinery.
- The person in this position frequently communicates internally and externally and must be able to exchange accurate detailed information in a clear, professional manner.
