Job Title: HR Business Partner
Our client, a rapidly growing healthcare organization located in the Chester County area, has a newly created role available for an HR Business Partner. Reporting into the Head of HR, you will be a hands-on resource providing guidance and best practices to employees in all areas of human resources.
About the Role:
As an HR Business Partner, you will implement, administer and maintain various human resource functions including employee relations, compliance, wellbeing initiatives and compensation program development. You will partner with members of the Human Resources team and other departments to provide excellent internal service and support for employees and the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and support to management and employees on HR issues, ensuring positive employee relations. Respond quickly and with sensitivity to resolve employee problems. Conduct employee relations counseling and conduct or participate in investigations as needed.
- Manage and build out an onboarding process.
- Full cycle recruitment.
- Develop, implement and oversee department programs specific to HR processes and policies such as drug testing, background reporting and others as identified.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of employee records using various HR systems to ensure employee records are accurate and compliant across systems.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. Recommend and implement Human Resource policy and process updates to ensure continued compliance. Interpret, communicate and administer HR policies and procedures to ensure fair and consistent application.
- Participate in development and maintenance of the corporate compensation structure. Participate in compensation surveys, develop job descriptions and conduct position and market analysis. Assist with annual compensation adjustment project for administrative and operational employees.
- Manage the unemployment claims process. Prepare supervisors/management for unemployment hearings if the need arises.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent, related work experience.
- 5 or more years of experience in HR or a related role, preference for candidates with prior HR experience in the healthcare industry.
- Experience with basic business and customer service principles, including planning and organizing, resource management and leadership skills.
- Experience with FMLA, ADA and other state and federal employment laws.
- Experience supporting employee relations and strategic HR initiatives; handling sensitive, complex and confidential information.
- Experience building strong partnerships with management and relationships of trust with employees.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated functional knowledge of HRIS programs and Microsoft Office.
