Responsibilities:
- Review and enhance existing programs, identifying and resolving defects to ensure functionality and performance.
- Leverage strong SQL skills to gather data from various sources, create custom reports, and support data architecture efforts.
- Develop in-house software solutions to meet organizational needs, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Maintain proper coding practices and thorough documentation, even under tight deadlines.
- Drive organizational efficiency and improve service to customers and employees by constructing, maintaining, and streamlining business processes and computing systems.
- Enhance system efficiency and cost-effectiveness, resolving errors, and designing customized programs tailored to the organization s needs.
- Programming responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Hands-on programming, maintaining, and enhancing legacy code.
- Coding and debugging applications.
- Designing and testing software architecture.
- Troubleshooting and resolving errors.
- Profiling and analyzing algorithms for optimization.
- Writing detailed and effective computer instructions.
- Implementing and maintaining build systems.
- Managing and optimizing database systems.
- Engage in special projects and other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- SQL Expertise: Proven ability to gather data from various sources within complex systems, create detailed custom reports, and support organizational reporting needs with precision and efficiency. A demonstrated passion and strength in this domain are critical.
- VB.NET Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience programming in VB.NET. Candidates must demonstrate strong proficiency in building, maintaining, and optimizing applications using VB.NET.
- Experience in Full-Stack Development: 2-4 years of coding expertise using some or all the following:
- Visual Studio IDE with the .NET Framework
- C#/.NET, SQL
- Additional languages and frameworks such as C , Java, Python, HTML5, and Mobile (Android/iOS) are a plus.
- SQL Server Expertise: 2-4 years of experience in SQL Server 2012/2019 development, administration, and maintenance.
- Entity Relationship Diagramming (ERD) Skills: Ability to design and interpret complex database relationships.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Multitasking and Time Management: Ability to multitask effectively and deliver quality results while meeting or exceeding deadlines.
- Attention to Detail and Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Background in designing scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions for enterprise applications.
- Cloud Experience: Familiarity with cloud platforms, with a preference for Azure. While Azure migration is a medium- to long-term initiative, prior experience is a plus.
