Junson Capital is a multi-strategy asset management firm with a global presence in Hong Kong, Singapore, New York and Palo Alto. We are inviting passionate undergraduate or graduate interns to join our Principal Investment Team in our New York or Palo Alto offices.
Main Purpose of Job:
We are seeking a highly motivated research analyst intern to support our investment team in evaluating life science venture investments. The job includes but is not limited to conducting due diligence, conducting in-depth market research, analyzing scientific papers, and preparing financial modelling and valuation analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for interns to gain full-cycle and hands-on experience in the venture investment process.
Key Accountabilities:
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis on a wide range of life science sectors (e.g. biotech, medtech, services, AI-enabling services)
- Assist in due diligence on potential investment targets, including scientific paper reviews, patent reviews and product/pipeline assessments
- Prepare investment memos, company profiles, and sector reports for internal discussions
- Track and synthesize trends in venture funding, IPOs and M&A activities
- Support the investment team in financial modelling, valuation analysis and portfolio company tracking
- Attend industry conferences, startup pitches and scientific seminars (as applicable)
Working Experience/Education Background:
- Currently pursuing or completed a degree in chemistry, biology, medicine, or related fields. Business or dual-degree candidates with a science background are a plus
- Familiarity with biotech/pharma R&D, clinical development, commercialization logics and regulatory processes
- Strong analytical and research skills in evaluating both scientific and commercial aspects
- Basic understanding of financial concepts, venture capital, and startup ecosystems
- Prior internship in venture capital, private equity, consulting, biotech or pharma is a bonus
Capabilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with AI tools is advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Quick to extract information, numerically sensitive, and clear in interpretation
- Comfort with both independent and collaborative work
- Detail-oriented with a focus on being logical and accurate
- Agile learner and versatile skill set; enjoys intellectual challenges and public discourse
