POSITION SUMMARY : The Staff Product Development Engineer is a key individual contributor and leader within the Product Development team at Jupiter with a focus on Project Leadership. This leader will be responsible for ensuring alignment and completion of a complex and core project that includes capital equipment and disposable medical devices. Deep familiarity with managing project teams and navigating the requirements of medical quality systems and regulations are key expectations. This position reports directly to an Engineering Manager.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead a cross-functional team developing a novel piece of capital equipment and associated disposable accessories. The Staff Product Development Engineer will have the support of technical leads and project team members to help with technical decisions, planning, and execution.
- Develop and manage strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Create and manage project requirements, constraints, budgets, and schedules to meet key milestones and timelines.
- Drive identification of critical paths, key risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure quality system and regulatory requirements are factored into all project planning.
- Bring creativity to the product development process to overcome unique challenges.
- Ensure alignment to project strategy and deliverables within the team.
- Prepare for and lead project team meetings.
- Manage prototype builds and testing.

COMPENSATION
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base pay for this role is between $140,000-$200,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as : training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for equity, benefits, and 401(k) with matching.
