Our Reggio-inspired, STEM-integrated, Montessori-based childcare center is seeking a dedicated Assistant Pre-K Teacher / Floater to support our classrooms and provide high-quality care to young learners.
Position Overview :
As an Assistant Pre-K Teacher / Floater , you will play a vital role in supporting lead teachers, assisting with classroom management, and stepping into various classrooms as needed. This flexible role ensures our children continue to receive the best care and education while allowing you to gain experience across multiple age groups.
Responsibilities :
- Assist the lead Pre-K teacher with implementing engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
- Foster a warm, safe, and stimulating environment that supports children’s growth and development.
- Float between classrooms as needed, stepping in to assist teachers and provide care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming learning space.
- Encourage positive social interactions, self-regulation, and independence among children.
- Support daily routines, including meals, nap time, and outdoor play.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative environment.
- Follow state licensing guidelines and center policies to uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications :
Experience working with young children in a licensed childcare setting preferred.
Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to child-centered learning.
Ability to adapt, multitask, and collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
CPR / First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Must pass background checks as required by state regulations.
