Education

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
  • Knowledge of computer systems and applications to include but not limited to EPIC

Experience / Qualifications

  • Directorship experience of a hospitalist program
  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified

Position Summary

This role is for a physician who wants to practice through providing compassionate, patient centered care.

  • Maintenance of timely, accurate and detailed medical records using EPIC
  • Lead a team of physicians, advanced practice providers for a 24/7 hospitalist medicine team
  • Prescribes medication or therapy when necessary
  • Recommends lifestyle changes as appropriate to improve quality of life
  • Explains all medical procedures thoroughly
  • Explains test results and provide patients with plan of care details
  • Consults with other doctors as appropriate about patient’s specific needs
  • Serves on hospital Medical Staff and related committees when requested
  • Seeks to improve patient satisfaction scores and team member goals
  • Participates in business development and marketing activities to grow the business.
  • Understanding of physician practice environment
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

This job can be physically demanding at times requiring stooping, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time. The team member will need to frequently assist lifting patients and heavy equipment. Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, making sound decisions, detail oriented, alert, and self-motivated. Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs, carry and lift up to 50lbs.

    • Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation

    • Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
