Education :

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • BSN preferred.

Experience / Qualifications :

  • Must have graduated within a rolling 12 month calendar year
  • Must graduate from an accredited nursing program
  • Associates degree in Nursing required, Bachelors is preferred
  • Less than 6 months experience working as an RN
  • Clear & Active FL Nursing License
  • BLS Certification American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers
  • ACLS Certification American Heart Association (Must obtain within 90 days)
  • NIHSS Certification (Must obtain within 90 days)
  • Position Summary :

    Within nursing services, the Registered Nurse assumes the accountability and responsibility as a professional nurse for providing "Patient Centered Care" for an assigned group of patients.

  • The RN plans, directs, and evaluates nursing care while providing a holistic view, which may include dimensions of physical, developmental, emotional, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and functional status.
  • Assessment involves the orderly collection of information to develop a comprehensive Standard of Care to meet identified patient care outcomes and evaluate effectiveness of a nursing plan of care.
  • Established nursing objectives, standards, policies, and procedures will be followed in administering nursing care.
  • Initial assessments provide a baseline for future comparisons that can be made in order to individualize care.
  • Ongoing assessment and reassessment are required to meet the patient's changing needs.
  • RN ensures accurate documentation, adequate supplies and is knowledgeable in operation of equipment.
  • The RN has a responsibility to acts as educator to their peers, patients, and their families.
  • All aspects of the RN performance support service excellence and a healing environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • The Jupiter Medical Center RN Resident Program is an investment in the Team Member. In consideration of JMC's agreement to provide Team Member with training and mentoring through the Program, the Team Member agrees to work in the unit and department to which he / she is assigned for 1 year from completion of the RN Resident Program and remain employed with JMC for at least two (2) years after the Team Member completes the JMC RN Resident Program.

    Physical Requirement

    This job can be physically demanding at times requiring stooping, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time. The team member will need to frequently assist lifting patients and heavy equipment. Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, making sound decisions, detail oriented, alert, and self-motivated. Ability to push / pull up to 40lbs, carry and lift up to 50lbs.

    Threshold Requirements

  • These threshold requirements are required and completed yearly basis
  • Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation

  • TB / PPD Surveillance Program
  • Maintenance of required professional licensing and / or certification(s).
