As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at JupiterOne, you will play a pivotal role in fueling our growth by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. You will be the first point of contact for potential customers, engaging with them to understand their needs and introducing them to JupiterOne’s innovative solutions. Your primary focus will be on outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and collaboration with the sales team to drive pipeline growth.
This is a dynamic and fast-paced role that requires a combination of strong communication skills, persistence, and a results-driven mindset. You'll work closely with marketing and sales teams to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified leads and contribute to the overall success of the sales organization.
What You'll Do
- Engage & Prospect – Actively identify and reach out to potential customers through multiple channels, including email, phone, LinkedIn, and industry events.
- Qualify Leads – Assess inbound inquiries and outbound prospects to determine their fit for JupiterOne’s platform.
- Conduct Discovery – Lead conversations to uncover prospects’ pain points, business challenges, and security needs.
- Collaborate with Sales – Partner with Account Executives (AEs) to schedule product demos and facilitate meaningful sales conversations.
- Maintain CRM Accuracy – Keep detailed records of prospect interactions and activities in HubSpot.
- Stay Industry-Savvy – Continuously monitor industry trends, competitive insights, and security challenges to articulate JupiterOne’s value effectively.
- Optimize Outreach – Work closely with marketing to refine messaging and improve engagement strategies.
- Drive Results – Consistently meet and exceed key performance metrics, including call volume, meetings booked, and pipeline contribution.
Who You are
- 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a customer-facing role (SaaS experience preferred).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and build rapport with prospects.
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and resilient in handling objections.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also taking initiative independently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate data entry and follow-ups.
- Experience with CRM software (HubSpot) is a plus.
- Passion for technology and an interest in cybersecurity or SaaS solutions.
