Responsibilities
- Administer medications to patients as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with medical documentation standards.
- Maintain detailed records of medication administration and patient responses, adhering to HIPAA guidelines for confidentiality.
- Assist in the development of individual care plans tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
- Provide catheter care and other personal hygiene assistance as needed, ensuring comfort and dignity for patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses and doctors, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Support patients in daily living activities while promoting independence and well-being.
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance caregiving skills and knowledge of best practices in patient care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospital or home care setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical documentation systems and practices related to patient care.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
