Warehouse Operations Project Manager - Bilingual Spanish

Job Summary/Objective:

The Warehouse Operations Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing warehouse-related projects to improve operational efficiency, streamline processes, supporting strategic initiatives. This role involves overseeing project planning, execution, and implementation across warehousing, distribution, and logistics functions. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in warehouse operations and project management, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive measurable results

Strategic Project Planning & Execution

· Develop and oversee strategic roadmaps for distribution-related initiatives, including expansion, automation, relocations, and third-party

logistics transitions.

· Align project objectives with broader business goals, ensuring timelines, budgets, and resource plans are clearly defined and communicated.

· Create detailed project documentation, charters, risk assessments, and contingency plans.

Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

· Lead events, time studies, and root cause analyses to streamline warehouse operations such as receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and

shipping.

· Evaluate KPIs like order accuracy, fulfillment rate, throughput, inventory turns, and dock-to-stock time to identify improvement opportunities.

· Introduce methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.

Technology & Systems Integration

· Oversee the implementation or upgrade of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) tools.

· Ensure seamless data integration between warehouse and upstream/downstream systems (e.g., order processing, procurement, billing).

· Manage testing, training, and change management during system rollouts.

Vendor & 3PL Management

· Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) partners to monitor performance, compliance, and service level agreements (SLAs).

· Lead processes for logistics services and evaluate vendors for warehousing and packaging solutions.

Regulatory Compliance & Safety

· Ensure distribution projects comply with OSHA ,CBP, CTPAT, and other regulatory bodies as applicable.

· Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for handling hazardous materials, temperature-sensitive goods, or high-value items.

· Implement safety improvement initiatives and collaborate with EHS teams for audits and training.

Budget & Financial Oversight

· Manage project budgets, monitor actuals vs. forecast, and identify cost-saving opportunities in distribution operations.

· Conduct ROI analysis for major investments (automation, space expansion, WMS implementation).

· Present financial and operational project updates to senior leadership.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

· Act as the primary liaison between logistics, procurement, IT, sales, customer service, and executive leadership.

· Conduct regular project status meetings, publish executive updates, and facilitate decision-making sessions.

· Gather feedback from frontline staff and integrate insights into process design.

Risk Management & Contingency Planning

· Proactively identify risks (e.g., supply chain disruptions, system failures, labor shortages) and implement mitigation strategies.

· Establish business continuity protocols for critical distribution operations.
