WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Adhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives precisely
- Ensure that all required shipping documents (manifest, invoice, etc.) are available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies shipment with delivered.
- Apply knowledge of safe driving skills in maneuvering vehicle in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather, and tight loading dock areas.
- Following the best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading / unloading a truck
- Communicating with dispatchers, drivers, and other team members to make deliveries
- Meeting delivery deadlines
- Performing basic truck maintenance
- Loading and unloading cargo
- Tracking shipments and deliveries
- Obtaining client or customer signatures when needed
- Immediately notify VP of Global Security / SOC in the event of a mechanical malfunction of the security or surveillance system that is anticipated to exceed a 4-hour period
- All other job duties as assigned
