Job Summary

Available shifts: M-F 6am to 12noon, M-F 12noon to 6pm , M-F 10P-6am, Weekdays or Weekend 6am to 6pm or 6pm to 6am

These are 3 and 4 persons group homes for seniors. You must have direct care experience.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum. This role involves assisting clients in daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in their care.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
• Observe and document clients' behaviors and progress, reporting any significant changes or concerns.
• Support individuals in community integration activities, fostering social skills and independence.
• Assist with mobility needs, including lifting clients when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to long-term care and home community care.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of long-term care practices and home health services is beneficial.
• Strong patient observation skills to monitor client well-being effectively.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding client confidentiality and privacy.
• Ability to perform medication administration as required by individual care plans.
• Experience in meal preparation for individuals with specific dietary needs is a plus.
• Must be physically capable of lifting clients as needed for mobility assistance.
• A compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others achieve their goals.

Pay: Up to $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 48 per week
