Food Service Director/ Account Manager Responsibilities
Food Service Director/ Account Manager experience with a strong food and nutrition background experience in a K-12 environment is desired.
We are looking for a high-achieving school nutrition professional. Food Service Director/ Account Managers act as the key link between our corporate office and assigned district’s sites. You will help the staff assigned to your site locations stay up to date with company policies and you will ensure focus on the overall accuracy of the job at hand, while building productive customers’ relations. The successful candidate will be in charge of multiple school district’s day-to-day school nutrition operations and will carry out company policies and guidelines.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a liaison between the corporate office and your assigned sites by making regular visits and interacting with management
- Be in charge of operational practices making sure that each site is equipped to run smoothly and communicating site needs
- Coordinate with, report and make recommendations to senior management in order to improve the school lunch experience and ultimately ensure account retention and growth
- Ensure that each site delivers quality food, value and excellence in customer service to the sites
- Cultivate and grow a strong team of committed team members
- Apply innovative approaches and techniques to keep staff motivated and engaged with children
MINOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitoring employee attendance and communicating needs and or changes with the finance manager (call offs, tardiness, absence request)
- Contacting assigned floaters to fill in for call offs
- Filling yourself into a position, in the case that you are unable to fill a position with another staff memberdue to a call off
- Identifying those in under management who are trainable for management
- Identifying potential issues amongst staff and work environment
- Weekly service inspections of your sites and evaluations of staff
- Knowing the meal program that your site operates under
- Actively participate in food service related assignments, and events to demonstrate the company’spartnership and commitment to the clients that we serve.
SKILLS/ABILITIES
Having management experience with a strong food and nutrition background experience in a K-12 environment is desired. Possessing highly developed organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple and often conflicting priorities, meet deadlines and proactively address operational and client needsHave strong communication skills and the ability to work both horizontally and vertically within the organization
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven K-12 food service account management working experience
- Strong leadership and decision making skills
- Ability to sell, manage and drive growth
- Excellent customer relationship management skills
- Must have the training, experience and ability to direct the total food service operation
- Must have knowledge of large quantity meal preparation, menu planning and completing state, federal and local reports
- Must have purchasing, strong human relations, communication and business management skills
- Must meet any additional qualifications set by the company and assigned school district(s)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.50 - $22.00 per hour
