What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Manager position at Just BE Kitchen?
Just BE Kitchen is a gluten, grain and refined sugar-free fast casual operation. We don’t want to serve food. We want to re-invent how food is served.
We want our guests to feel nourished & cared for and as the Restaurant General Manager you will be emphatic about customer kindness & care.
Your role is to BE a part of determining the appropriate directives as part of the Management Team and be an active participant in the ongoing growth of Just BE Kitchen and team members.
If you are a corporate junkie, this may not be the right role for you - we are a young but growing company and require individuals comfortable with putting policies in place which may change as we grow. Eg - you will not be walking into a formal corporate structure - which is also exciting and gives you the freedom to be very hands on in the business and a central part of the decision-making.
You need to BE Fan-atic about ensuring you and the team members are consistently communicating appropriate ingredients, modifications, etc to customers to ensure they are safe and nourished.
Responsibilities
- BE an amazing customer service representative with guests, efficiently and kindly manage customer issues, set an example for customer kindness with the team
- Coach, train and manage team
- Ultimate responsibility for overall FOH ordering – no waste or having to run out of anything
- Understand and communicate all menu options, ingredients, trade-offs and allergens
- Schedules are consistently distributed
- Labor cost improvement on scheduling
- Monthly Inventory
- Manage and Update Order Guide for both FOH and BOH regularly as needed
- Create, implement and operationalized staff FOH training program
- Support the planning and creation of new revenue streams and channels that are coming up
- Have intimate knowledge of POS system inside and out
- Assist in training staff accordingly on new food promo’s, changes, operational additions, new launches, cleaning or any operational initiatives
- Ensure that the opening and closing duties are conducted to standard, encourage other team members and lead by example.
- Understand and ensure adherence to all Health & Safety procedures & requirements. Communicate to staff members if/when health violations may be in danger
- Designate team members to run stations when you or owner are unavailable.
- Will act as a lead floor manager in numerous shifts
- Ensure all opening and closing duties are performed to standard, go above and beyond as a floor manager to ensure all duties are taken care of and BE able to close down the shop without compromising the standards required
