What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver/Personal Assistant position at Just Between Seniors?
We are seeking compassionate, mature, and responsible individuals aged 35 who are passionate about providing care for the elderly. As a caregiver, you'll play a key role in helping our clients with daily activities such as bathing, meal preparation, memory care, grocery shopping, driving to appointments, light housekeeping, and more. We are looking for individuals who are flexible, reliable, and eager to take on a variety of tasks in support of our clients' well-being.
This position requires caregivers who are enthusiastic about the field, committed to providing exceptional care, and able to collaborate effectively with others. We are hiring multiple caregivers, with a preference for those comfortable working in homes with pets (cats and dogs) and who are available for weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-home care for seniors, disabled individuals, and veterans, including assistance with daily living activities.
- Follow individualized care plans to meet each client’s unique needs.
- Build positive relationships with clients, their families, and community support networks.
- Work as part of a team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate records in an electronic documentation system.
- Assist with daily personal care, including:
- Bathing and bed baths
- Dressing and grooming
- Ambulation and positioning
- Medication reminders
- Meal preparation and feeding
- Toileting and hygiene
- Exercise and skin care
- Light housekeeping and cleaning
- Providing companionship
- Transportation to appointments
- Provide support to clients with dementia and be open to assisting couples.
- Ensure the client’s home environment is safe and secure at all times.
