Responsibilities
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
- Break down and clean up stations
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Qualifications/Skills
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook. (Brunch line cook experience is a plus)
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, allergies, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
- Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
- Be tactful, courteous and able to communicate well with people.
- Have a positive attitude and be able to work in a team.
- Able to read, write and understand English.
- Must be dependable and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to anticipate needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs
- Must work various holidays and have weekday and weekend availability.
- Be able to lift and carry 40 pounds
