Bittercreek Alehouse is looking for a serious, experienced, and hungry kitchen professional to act as Sous Chef. The right candidate must be a dedicated advocate for the hospitality industry and the people that work in it; committed to the idea that culinary jobs are careers and the staff that work them should be rewarded with respect and professionalism for their pursuit of these careers. Beyond that, the right candidate should have a strong culinary style, rooted in interest in local culture, cuisine & agriculture.
The Sous Chef will spend approximately 80% of their time cooking on the line and doing prep. The remaining 20% of time spent on administrative duties includes hiring, menu development, performance management, SOP’s and inventory.
