Job Summary

JustFoodForDogs is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and meticulous Accounts Payable Specialist to join our vibrant Accounting team. In this pivotal role, you’ll be at the heart of our financial operations, ensuring that our vendors and partners are paid accurately and timely, all while contributing to the growth of a groundbreaking company dedicated to improving the lives of pets.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the Accounts Payable team by performing day-to-day AP related tasks
• Entering invoices into NetSuite using the 3-way matching. 
• Processing weekly check runs including payments to vendors in the bank via ACH, checks and online. 
• Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal departments as needed. 
• Address IQ Backoffice questions and exceptions. 
• Obtain and review vendor statements for missing invoices, and ensure they are accounted for in the system. 
• Investigate and reconcile vendors accounts as necessary to respond to vendors questions. 
• Review outstanding checks, ensuring stale checks are investigated and cleared 
• Provide audit support and answer audit questions as pertains to AP 
• Ad-hoc tasks as pertains to Accounts Payable

Qualifications

• Associates degree or BA in accounting
• 1-2 years Accounts Payable experience
• Strong work ethic required
• Well organized a must
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, and reliable
• Strong organizational skills and time management skills are needed
• Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable and general ledger system knowledge
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
• Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and NetSuite proficient
