Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Assistant Director to join our team. This role is integral in supporting the overall management of our child care program, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Director to implement educational programs, manage staff, and foster relationships with families and the community.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily operations of the child care center, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
- Support the development and implementation of age-appropriate educational programs that promote children's growth and learning.
- Supervise and mentor teaching staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development.
- Collaborate with families to address their needs and concerns, fostering a strong community connection.
- Maintain accurate records related to enrollment, attendance, and compliance documentation.
- Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating staff performance to ensure high-quality care and education.
- Promote a positive environment that encourages children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Experience
- A background in higher education teaching or education administration is preferred.
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to educate and engage children in meaningful learning experiences.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration within a diverse environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with parents, staff, and community members.
