Part Time Bookkeeper and Accountant For Growing Heat Pump Installation Company in Denver

Just Heat Pumps is a growing heat pump HVAC installer in Denver Metro looking to hire a rock star bookkeeper and accountant. We design and install high tech heating and cooling solutions reducing air pollution, and provide homeowners with the best heat pump systems available.

To help our mission, we are looking for responsible, growth minded, quick learning, part time (initially) accountant and bookkeeper to develop new operations and accounting systems. If this is you, your work will be a few hours per month to start, and will increase as we grow. 

This position is remote most of the time, and all the tasks can be completed at any time or day of the week. Tasks must be completed on time.

Part of your responsibilities will be helping us by researching, organizing, and building a system to keep track and submit all of the individual Colorado state, city, and county jurisdiction sales and use taxes required throughout the year.

• Is willing to learn popular accounting software - you will manage, be responsible for, and give guidance on our bookkeeping and accounting and proper software setup and workflow.
• Has an interest in learning, researching, and processing sales and use taxes within Colorado.
• Is excited about helping companies grow and stay organized, sometimes in a chaotic and fast-changing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Managing and processing the weekly and monthly accounting books - you will be our company bookkeeper and go-to.
• Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly sales tax calculation, filing, and tracking for all applicable jurisdictions in Colorado.
• Keeping the company organized with receipts, job-costing, company assets, and everything needed for the books and taxes.
• Additional tasks as needed in the growing accounting and finance space of our company.
