Duties
- Manage inventory levels and maintain accurate records of parts and supplies.
- Source and procure parts from various suppliers, negotiating favorable terms.
- Utilize AS400 or similar systems for tracking inventory and processing orders.
- Oversee shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely delivery of parts.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting technicians and clients with parts inquiries.
- Assist in fabricating custom parts as needed to meet specific requirements.
- Operate forklifts safely to move materials within the warehouse or shop area.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline procurement management processes.
Experience
- Previous experience in parts management, preferably within HVAC or automotive industries.
- Familiarity with procurement management practices and sourcing strategies.
- Proficient in using AS400 or similar inventory management software.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from suppliers.
- Experience in shipping and receiving operations is preferred.
- Customer service experience is essential for effective communication with clients and technicians.
- Forklift operation experience is a plus, with certification preferred but not required.
- Ability to fabricate parts is a desirable skill that will enhance operational efficiency.
