About the Role
We offer a unique opportunity for Early Childhood Substitute Teachers and Assistant Teachers to choose their own work schedules each week. Yes, you set your days and hours! We're looking for dedicated and adaptable ECE Teachers to step into our partner childcare centers and preschools throughout the Twin Cities and nearby areas. If you have experience in traditional early childhood education, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or STEM, we’d love to connect with you!
What You’ll Do
Ensure Child Safety and Well-being:
- Protect the physical, emotional, and social needs of children with attentive care, following all licensing guidelines.
- Support daily routines through activities like feeding, nap time assistance, and diapering.
- Maintain orderly classroom and outdoor environments, adhering to safety protocols and ratios.
Facilitate Smooth Classroom Operations:
- Work alongside Center Directors and staff to implement educational activities, following lesson plans when provided.
- Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, meal preparation, and activity organization to ensure smooth operations.
Build Positive Relationships:
- Engage with children in a nurturing manner, fostering their social and emotional development through patience and empathy.
- Promote social skills through positive discipline and inclusive practices.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive team environment.
Document and Grow Professionally:
- Help with record-keeping, documenting children’s progress, behaviors, and milestones.
- Pursue ongoing professional development to enhance your teaching skills and stay updated on early childhood education trends.
And Most Importantly… We’re seeking individuals who genuinely enjoy spending time with children and are excited to be part of their early developmental years.

Compensation:
$17-$22 per hour
Benefits:
- Flexible schedule – no nights or weekends. Work between 7:00am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday.

Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree experience (Teacher qualified) / Partial completion or current enrollment experience (Assistant Teacher qualified)
