Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Forecasting & Inventory Management:
- Lead and implement inventory forecasting strategies to ensure accurate and efficient inventory levels across multiple product categories
- Develop and manage demand planning processes to anticipate fluctuations in product demand and ensure the company can meet customer needs without overstocking or understocking
- Analyze sales trends, seasonality, and historical data to optimize inventory flow and minimize stockouts or excess inventory
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to align product launches, seasonal promotions, and ingredient procurement with inventory planning
- Product Ingredients Procurement & Supplier Management:
- Oversee the sourcing and procurement of high-quality, cost-effective ingredients and raw materials for the company’s product lines, ensuring alignment with product quality standards
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers, manufacturers, and ingredient vendors to ensure reliable sourcing and supply continuity
- Develop and manage the procurement process to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and raw materials, while minimizing stockouts and excess inventory
- Collaborate with the product development and quality assurance teams to ensure ingredients meet regulatory and quality standards
- Cost Reduction & Operational Efficiency:
- Lead initiatives to identify opportunities for cost reductions across the entire supply chain—from raw materials procurement to logistics and fulfillment
- Continuously assess supply chain processes to find opportunities for process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce operational costs
- Negotiate favorable pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure the best possible value for the company
- Implement strategies for waste reduction and inventory optimization, focusing on maximizing profitability while maintaining product quality
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements globally
- Identify and implement process improvements and technology solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency, from inventory tracking to fulfillment
- Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Set clear objectives and KPIs for the supply chain team, ensuring alignment with company-wide goals and customer satisfaction standards
- Oversee the professional development and growth of team members, ensuring they have the resources and training to succeed
- Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership for successful strategy executions
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Utilize data and analytics to track performance metrics such as lead times, inventory turnover, order accuracy, procurement costs, and logistics costs
- Continuously monitor the effectiveness of supply chain strategies and make adjustments to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience
- Develop and present regular supply chain performance reports to senior leadership, providing actionable insights to support business decisions
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner closely with warehouse operations, marketing, sales, customer service, and finance teams to ensure seamless alignment between supply chain activities and broader business initiatives
- Work cross-functionally to leverage supply chain management software and implement systems that streamline operations and enhance visibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- 10 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations, with a strong focus on e-commerce and consumer goods (health and wellness industry experience preferred)
- Proven track record of successfully managing product ingredient procurement, inventory forecasting, and logistics operations in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of e-commerce supply chain dynamics, including online order fulfillment, last-mile delivery, and global sourcing
- Extensive experience in cost reduction strategies, process improvement, and operational efficiency in supply chain management
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Proficiency in supply chain software and advanced Excel skills; familiarity with demand planning and forecasting tools
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work collaboratively to solve complex supply chain challenges while supporting those teams hands-on during high-volume sales events
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with an ability to make data-driven decisions
- High attention to detail with a focus on continuous process improvement
- Experience with sustainable supply chain practices and eco-friendly product sourcing
- Knowledge of the health and wellness industry, including regulatory standards for product handling, ingredient sourcing, and distribution
- Expertise in managing international supply chains and logistics operations
- Advanced understanding of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
