CCTV/Camera Operator

The CCTV/Camera Operator is responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining surveillance equipment to ensure the safety and security of premises. They observe and record video footage, detect potential security threats, and report incidents to relevant authorities when necessary.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Surveillance Monitoring: Actively monitor CCTV cameras to identify suspicious behavior, intruders, or any unusual activity.
• Footage Recording: Ensure all footage is recorded clearly and is stored securely for potential future reference or investigation.
• Incident Detection & Reporting: Identify security threats or safety hazards, and report incidents to the security team or management as per the protocols.
• Maintenance of Equipment: Conduct regular checks and basic troubleshooting of CCTV cameras, ensuring they are functioning correctly.
• Camera Adjustment: Adjust camera angles, zoom, and focus to get clear views of specific areas.
• Compliance: Follow security protocols and ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.

• Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience: Proven experience in operating CCTV systems or surveillance equipment.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with CCTV software and hardware, video recording devices, and basic troubleshooting techniques.
• Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot irregularities or security threats in real-time video feeds.
• Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to think quickly and respond effectively in case of security incidents.
• Flexibility: Ability to work in shifts (if applicable), including evenings, weekends, or holidays.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in security or surveillance technology are a plus.
