Job Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Math Tutor specializing in Grade Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II. The ideal candidate has a strong passion for teaching and at least 2 years of experience helping students excel in math topics. This part-time position requires passion for helping students, after-school and weekend availability and transportation to meet local students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct personalized one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in core high school math subjects.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to address each student’s unique needs and goals.
- Use creative and effective teaching strategies to engage students
- Track and assess student progress, making adjustments to instruction as needed to ensure improvement.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress and areas of focus.
- Foster a positive, encouraging environment that builds confidence and promotes academic growth.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience teaching or tutoring higher level math to students.
- Deep understanding of advanced math concepts and the ability to simplify and explain them effectively.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with students and parents.
- A genuine passion for math education and helping students achieve their goals.
- Flexible availability during after-school hours.
- Familiarity using online tools like Zoom and Google Meet
